This system generates power through clean, solar energy and demonstrates how renewable energy can be applied to our everyday lives. Adjacent to the Raleigh greenway, bike trail system and is interconnected to neighborhood and city sidewalks, North Hills residents can save energy by walking or biking to work. North Hills' vertical footprint maintains sustainable growth that preserves open space. Pedestrian-friendly streets connected to neighborhood sidewalks, underground parking garages, public transit, greenways and landscaping promotes walkability and eco-friendliness.

North Hills offers convenient access to other areas of the city and Triangle region. In fact, its pedestrian-friendly design and proven reduction of automobile use, led the required parking by City Ordinance to be reduced by 34 percent in the North Hills zoning district. Two Capital Area Transit (CAT) bus lines serve North Hills and the surrounding parks, schools and shopping centers, as well as Duke Raleigh Hospital. Residents also have access to local produce at the North Hills Farmers' market on Saturday mornings from April through October, which includes 30+ local and organic vendors.

Farmers' Market

Now you don't have to drive home or go back to the office to get online. Free Wifi is now available in most North Hills restaurants and common spaces so that you can save time and gas. All you need is your laptop.
